Camozzi Supporting the Community – Looking Back Over the Years to Now

International Community Day – 8th October 2025. Camozzi Supporting the Community – Looking Back Over the Years to Now.

International Community Day is celebrated every year on October 8th. It’s a day dedicated to fostering global exchange between communities, inspiring collaboration, and building a sense of belonging across the world. The day encourages individuals, organisations, and groups to share their community stories and celebrate the power of coming together.

At Camozzi, community has always been at the heart of what we do. While our name is strongly associated with motorsport – from three decades in Formula 1 with teams including Arrows, McLaren, Alfa Romeo, Sauber, and from 2026 with Audi – we are equally proud of our commitment to grassroots sporting and community projects across the UK.

Celebrating Grassroots Sponsorships

Over the years, Camozzi Automation UK has proudly supported a wide variety of teams, clubs, and individuals, helping to inspire the next generation of sporting talent and strengthen local communities. Here are just a few highlights:

Newton Linford Under 13 Cricket Club – In 2024, Camozzi sponsored this historic club (founded in 1919). With our backing, the Under 13s enjoyed a successful season, culminating in victory at the Leicestershire County Cup. The achievement was a huge boost for the club’s young players, instilling pride across the community.

Charnwood Rutland Warriors Netball Club – Since its creation in 2017 through the merger of two of the region’s biggest clubs, Charnwood Rutland has become the largest netball club in the East Midlands with 220+ members. Our sponsorship of their Under 15 National Squad has helped fund kit, travel, and training opportunities, giving these talented athletes a platform to perform at the highest youth level.

Grassroots Rugby Support – Sam Everett’s Journey – From playing mini-rugby at Nuneaton Nuns to representing Hinckley Rugby Club, Sam (son of our Customer Support Representative, Jacqui Everett) has progressed through the sport with Camozzi’s support at key stages. In 2020, he earned selection for the England Counties Under-18 squad to face Ireland – recognition of his skill and determination, even though the fixture was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Nuneaton RFC Sponsorship – One of the Midlands’ most historic rugby clubs, founded in 1879, Nuneaton RFC has deep roots in the community. Camozzi’s sponsorship of player Thomas Smitham continues our long-standing relationship with the club, supporting both senior and junior rugby at a grassroots level.

Atherstone United & Nuneaton Griff – Supporting local football is just as important. We have proudly sponsored Ethan Locker, one of our warehouse operatives, who played for both clubs. Balancing work with grassroots football, Ethan embodies the values of commitment, teamwork, and community spirit that we admire.

Rugeley Prog Town Green Bowling Team – Community spirit thrives in many forms, and for years Camozzi backed Steve Morecroft’s bowls team in Rugeley. Grassroots bowls brings people of all ages together, keeping tradition alive while fostering friendship and activity within the community.

Motorsport Talent – George Line – Camozzi has supported F3 racing driver George Line through his journey to reclaim championship glory. Having become the youngest-ever winner of the F3 Cup in his debut season, George has battled technical setbacks and continues to strive for excellence. Sponsorship has supported his competitive programme, showing our belief in young motorsport talent.

NWT Truck Racing Team – Joining the European Truck Racing Championship in 2022, the team has grown from strength to strength. With Camozzi branding proudly displayed, the custom-built MAN truck has raced across Europe in front of more than 400,000 spectators. Our sponsorship supports both the competitive drive of the team and the wider #onetruckfamily community.

Motocross Rising Star – Ethan Oram – Camozzi has also supported young motocross rider Ethan Oram, providing a platform for his progression in a sport that demands resilience, skill, and commitment.

Future Stars – Sponsorships Coming Soon

Cole Parrish (#74) – The UK’s number one ranked under-8 go-karter, already catching attention after being mentioned on F1 commentary at Spa. Our support will help him develop his career in motorsport.

Berkswell & Balsall RFC – Both senior sides at this ambitious and growing rugby club have recently secured promotion, with the 2nd XV also lifting the Warwickshire Shield. Our connection with the club is made even stronger through our Area Account Manager, Rory Wallace, who has proudly played for Berkswell & Balsall for the past 14 years. We’re delighted to support a club with such strong local roots and a clear commitment to success.

Manor Park RFC – Continuing our support of rugby player Thomas Smitham as he moves from Nuneaton RFC to Manor Park, ensuring his journey in the sport continues with Camozzi behind him.

A Proud Tradition

From cricket pitches and rugby fields to karting tracks and racing circuits, Camozzi’s support reflects our belief in the importance of community, teamwork, and opportunity. These values align with our wider mission: driving innovation and performance while supporting people to achieve their full potential.

As International Community Day reminds us, thriving communities don’t happen by chance – they are built through shared experiences, encouragement, and collective passion. Camozzi Automation UK is proud to play its part in that story.
