From Design Brief to Tested Build: The Pneumatic Control Panel Process

A custom pneumatic control panel project starts with understanding the application, operating environment and required pneumatic functions before moving through design, assembly and testing.

At our Automation Centre in Nuneaton, Camozzi UK supports this process from the initial design brief through to a completed and tested pneumatic or electro-pneumatic panel.

Review the brief. Engineer the solution. Test the build.

Custom Control Panel Project Snapshot

Who We Support

OEM design engineers, machine builders, system integrators and production or maintenance teams.

What We Build

Pneumatic panels, electro-pneumatic panels, standalone units and replacement or upgraded assemblies.

What Can Be Included

Application review, 2D, 3D CAD where required, component selection, assembly, testing & agreed documentation.

How Are Custom Pneumatic Control Panels Designed and Built?

The process is agreed around the technical requirement, installation and documentation needed for the project.

1. Review the Application

The UK team reviews the required pneumatic functions, operating environment, available space and machine sequence. Existing drawings, photographs, dimensions & component details can support the initial assessment.

2. Design the Solution

The Camozzi applications team prepares 2D schematics and 3D CAD modelling where required. Components and enclosures are selected around the application before a clear project quotation is provided.

3. Assemble, Test and Handover

The panel is assembled in-house with agreed labelling and traceability. Pneumatic leak and functionality testing is completed before dispatch, supported by standard test certificates and any agreed documentation.

Custom Control Panel Capabilities

Projects can range from compact standalone panels to integrated pneumatic and electro-pneumatic assemblies. Depending on the application, Camozzi UK can support:

  • New pneumatic and electro-pneumatic control panels

  • Replacement and upgraded panel assemblies

  • IP-rated enclosures for suitable environments

  • Customer labelling, branding and part numbers

  • Remote or on-site commissioning support where appropriate

  • Spares, documentation and future upgrade support

Who Is the Service For?

Camozzi UK supports engineers developing new machinery, integrators requiring additional pneumatic design and assembly capability, and maintenance teams replacing ageing or poorly documented panels.

Examples of UK Control Panel Support

Pneumatic Control Panel Replacement

For an industrial processing site, we produced a plug & play replacement panel with enhanced ingress protection. Delivered in 4 weeks, the project helped reduce on-site engineering work and gave the maintenance team clearer component information.

Log Flume Control Panel

Camozzi UK supported a 4 lane log flume project with a custom pneumatic control panel developed around the application’s control requirements.

Custom Pneumatic Control Panel FAQs

Camozzi Automation UK designs, assembles and tests custom pneumatic and electro-pneumatic panels at its UK Automation Centre in Nuneaton.

Useful information includes required functions, machine sequence, operating environment, installation space and any available drawings, photographs, dimensions or component details.

Panels undergo pneumatic leak and functionality testing. The precise testing and documentation requirements are agreed during the project review.

Yes. The team can review an ageing or poorly documented panel and develop a replacement around the available space and required pneumatic functions.

Many builds can be dispatched within approximately 3 weeks. Final timing depends on the panel specification, required components, documentation and current capacity.

No. There is no minimum order quantity. Camozzi UK can support requirements for a single panel or multiple assemblies.
