Camozzi & JWA Engineering Celebrate Motorsport Partnership with Le Mans Classic Debut
Two Decades of Engineering Innovation Drive the Evolution of Advanced Pneumatic Air Lifting Systems
Camozzi Automation UK and JWA Engineering are celebrating more than 20 years of successful collaboration, having developed a range of advanced pneumatic lifting systems now used throughout the world of high-performance motorsport.

The long-standing partnership has combined JWA Engineering's motorsport expertise with Camozzi's pneumatic technology to create innovative vehicle lifting solutions that deliver exceptional safety, reliability and efficiency in both workshop and trackside environments.
Originally developed to support Formula Renault race cars, the first pneumatic lifting systems utilised Camozzi cylinders, actuators and control technology to safely lift vehicles weighing up to 600kg per lifter. Over the past two decades, continuous development and close technical collaboration have seen lifting capacities increase to 1,200kg per unit while introducing mobile lifting capabilities and self-levelling systems capable of accommodating a wide range of vehicle platforms.
Today, these solutions are trusted by professional race teams, OEM development programmes and leading universities across Europe. Applications include supporting a two-ton electric vehicle that achieved a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record, a hydrogen-powered Le Mans prototype developed by the University of Delft, and multiple Aston Martin Valkyrie programmes.

Looking Ahead to Le Mans Classic 2026
The latest chapter in the partnership sees the development of a bespoke Camozzi pneumatic air lifting system for a 2013 Morgan Pescarolo LMP2 race car. The former FIA World Endurance Championship competitor has recently secured a place at the prestigious Le Mans Classic 2026 event, where only ten cars in its class have been selected to compete.
The project provides a unique showcase for the engineering capabilities of both organisations and demonstrates the continued evolution of a lifting solution that has grown from a simple workshop tool into a globally recognised motorsport support system.
